Creating a web page in Web Crescendo only takes minutes! From the pages dashboard you are able to quickly add a new page, rearrange your website's navigation menu, preview, edit, and submit existing pages for approval.

How to Create a Page

  1. From the left sidebar menu, click website, then pages
  2. On the top left corner of the page, click the add new page button. You may also choose to batch upload pages
  3. While on the properties tab, enter the page title
  4. Choose a parent page if applicable
  5. Enter the browser title, page URL alias, and alternate URL
  6. Select if this page is a menu page (and automatically added to the sitemap) or hidden from the menu and/or sitemap
  7. Select if the page opens in the same tab or a separate tab/window when clicked
  8. Flag the page as part of the footer menu
  9. Flag the page as site default if it is the main landing page (example: home page). Web Crescendo will route incoming traffic to your root URL to this page
  10. Click save changes
  11. Once the page is saved, it will appear in your list of pages
  12. Click on the page and add widgets in the page builder, enter meta data, and customize other advanced options

Properties

This tab is where the page and menu properties will be established. This includes the page title, parent page, browser title, page URL alias, and alternate URL. You can also select if the page is part of the main menu navigation and sitemap and if it opens in a new tab/window or not. Flag the page as part of the footer menu and also as a site default page (main landing page. Example: home page). Once the properties have been selected, click save changes.

Page Builder

After creating the widgets to place on your website, the page builder allows you to add the widgets to your webpage, editing existing widgets, and rearrange the order of the widgets on the page.

How to Add a Widget to a Page

  1. From the left sidebar menu, click website, then pages
  2. Click on the page you want to build
  3. Click on the page builder tab and then add widgets
  4. Choose the widget you wish to add to the page
  5. Select the theme location (location of the widget on the page)
  6. Select the order number (what order the widget will appear on the page in relation to other widgets on the page)
  7. Choose the widget display (default and most commonly used is no formatting)
  8. Select who can view the widget (public, registered user, manager, and/or site administrator)
  9. Click submit

Meta Data

Meta data is the data that search engines use to categorize and rank your page. On this tab you will be able to define the keywords, a description of the page (under 170 characters), and robots text. There is also the option to include social network information for your site including a custom option.

On this tab you are able to create custom JavaScript for the page, change permissions, create URL redirects, and schedule the start/end date of the webpage.
