ENTRY LEVEL PHP PROGRAMMER

POSITION SUMMARY:

Silicon Mountain Technologies (SMT) has an immediate PHP Programmer opening working with the application development team on technical design, development, and maintenance of Internet based applications.  This is a fast-paced environment that requires the candidate to be flexible, proactive, and relish responsibility and accountability. We are looking for dynamic and passionate developers who are results-driven.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• 0 – 5 years of experience with standard and/or object-oriented programming in PHP
• Experience with XHTML, XML, CSS and JSON.
• Comfortable working with MySQL
• SOA/RESTful architecture
• Some understanding of source code repositories and the idioms associated with them. GIT is preferable but other repositories - such as CVS, etc - are applicable.
• Some understanding of Object Oriented Design principles
• Optimizing web solutions and ensuring performance requirements are met
• Agile development and methodologies

Candidate should have 5-7 years of experience with the full software development lifecycle in the Internet space.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree is not required. 
• Technical certifications are a plus
